Before using SubMigrations, you must first migrate your customer data directly through Stripe's self-serve customer migration tool.
Why Customer Migration is Required
- Subscriptions are linked to customer objects
 - SubMigrations cannot migrate customer data
 - Stripe provides a dedicated service for customer migration
 - This must be completed before migrating subscriptions

How to Migrate Customers in Stripe
- Access the Tool: Log into your source Stripe account
 - Navigate: Go to Customers → Copy customers
 - Choose Method: Select
Copy all customers
or partial copy - Destination: Enter your destination account ID
 - Authorization: The destination account must accept the request
 - Wait: The process can take up to 72 hours

Important Notes
- This is a one-time process per account pair
 - Customer data includes payment methods and billing details
 - The destination account admin must approve the migration
 - You'll receive email notifications about the progress

After Customer Migration
Once customer migration is complete, you can proceed with SubMigrations to migrate:
- Products and pricing
- Subscriptions and billing schedules
- Coupons and promotions
